Dr. John Raycroft was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Syracuse University. From here he served with the United States Naval Reserves. After four years of active duty, he obtained his medical degree at the State University of New York College of Medicine, Downstate, in 1961. Surgical and Orthopedic residencies were completed at Yale University and the prestigious Newington Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Raycroft published extensively on the evaluation and treatment of children with Spina bifida. He also developed expertise in the management of common spine problems. He has been a member of numerous local and national orthopedic societies and has presented his research nationally. He currently practices nonoperative orthopedics, with an interest in general orthopedics and spine problems.

To ensure that you have the safest and most effective medical care possible, it is important that you provide a complete medical history to your physician. If you agree, prior to your visit, we will send you a link via email that will allow you to complete your medical history at any time, at your convenience. Your encrypted medical history will then be transmitted to your physician electronically. If you complete your history prior to your scheduled visit, then we would ask that you arrive just 5-10 minutes early so that our staff can complete and verify your registration information. If you would prefer to complete your medical history in our offices prior to your scheduled visit, then plan on arriving 20-30 minutes before your scheduled visit to complete the medical history and registration process. We strive to be on time and to provide effective care to our patients. Having all of your “paperwork” out of the way before you scheduled appointment helps make that a reality.
