Orthopedic Associates of Hartford Welcomes Dr. Evan Dugdale as Hip and Knee Replacement Specialist


HARTFORD, Conn., September 15, 2025 – Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH), one of Connecticut’s largest and most respected orthopedic specialty groups, is pleased to welcome Evan Dugdale, MD, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, to its distinguished team of specialists.

A native of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Dr. Dugdale offers advanced expertise in a wide range of modern surgical techniques, including direct anterior and posterior hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement, robotic-assisted procedures, rapid recovery and outpatient protocols, and complex revision surgeries. Through these techniques, he cares for patients with conditions such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, avascular necrosis, failed prior joint replacements, and periprosthetic fractures.

Dr. Dugdale earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Williams College. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he was recognized with the Joseph Janes Award for his compassion, surgical skill, and dedication to orthopedics. He then completed an advanced hip and knee replacement fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina, gaining specialized expertise in both primary and complex revision joint procedures.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dugdale is actively involved in advancing the field of joint replacement surgery through research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at national conferences, with research interests focused on complex revision surgery, periprosthetic joint infection, and periprosthetic fracture management. Dr. Dugdale is seeing patients in the Enfield, Glastonbury, Hartford, and South Windsor locations.
