Patient Registrars

This highly visible position is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting co-pays and patient balances, obtaining insurance information and referrals, and updating patient demographics.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma plus a minimum of two years’ experience in a medical office with a background in patient registration and an understanding of different insurance carriers and plans. Your attentiveness to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to multi-task and be flexible in a changing environment will contribute to your success in this position. Days may begin as early as 6:30 a.m. and travel to our various sites is required.

Patient Care Coordinators

Patient Care Coordinators

This is a fast-paced and challenging position, where you will interact with our physicians, patients and other departments to provide the highest level of care for our patients. The Patient Care Coordinator’s primary purpose is to provide administrative support to our physicians and create an exceptional experience for the patient. You will be scheduling appointments, ancillary tests and surgeries, triaging calls, and pre-certifying procedures. Duties of this position also include answering a heavy volume of telephone calls, obtaining patient demographic information or verifying information already on file, including contact, health history and insurance information. Travel between our various sites is required.

A BS/BA is desired, plus at least two years of experience in a medical/surgical office. A mature, dependable and responsible approach when interacting with patients and physicians is needed, as is excellent communication, organizational and computer skills. Your flexibility, commitment to the team, and reliability will be keys to your success in this position.

Insurance Claims Specialists

Insurance Claims Specialists

At OAH, the Insurance Claims Specialist is responsible for both the prompt and efficient collection of insurance and patient balances within an automated work que. This position involves collecting and managing both denied and unpaid accounts, researching and resolving rejected, incorrectly paid, and denied claims, and resubmitting corrected claims.

We need your understanding of and ability to interpret insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and knowledge of when and how to ensure that maximum payment has been received.

Consistence in meeting productivity and quality standards, ability to maintain open communications, working knowledge of EOBs, coding, and positing of charges and payments are all essential to this position.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, familiarity with electronic eligibility, and ability to interpret and execute suggested next steps. Your core knowledge of appeals processing deadlines, and ability to perform accounts receivable aging reviews is needed.

Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative

Working in a collaborative team environment, this fast-paced position handles a high volume of incoming calls from patients and physician’s offices with questions relative to patient balances due, processing over-the-phone payments, and updating patient demographics and insurance information.

This position requires superior telephone, written communication and customer service skills, as well as excellent organizational and analytical skills and problem solving abilities with excellent follow through. A basic knowledge of insurance billing requirements and explanation of benefits (EOBs) is needed. Accuracy and attention to detail and a positive “can-do” attitude are crucial.

Physician Assistant/APRN

Physician Assistant / APRN

We currently have an opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Working closely with an Orthopedic Surgeon, this PA or APRN will provide a broad spectrum of general patient care. These duties include, but are not limited to, medical evaluation and treatment, removal of stitches, application of casts, ordering and analyzing tests, writing orders, patient rounds, and patient education. The PA or APRN will also assist in the operating room for inpatient and outpatient surgeries.

The successful candidate must be a graduate of a recognized program, certified as a PA or APRN, and have at least 1 year of experience in Orthopedics. Must have knowledge of interpretation of x-ray views, as well as excellent communication and follow up skills.
