Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center Earns Prestigious Recognition with Advanced Certification for Total Joint Replacement
HARTFORD, CT – August 9, 2024 – Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH), one of Connecticut’s largest and most respected orthopedic specialty groups, is pleased to announce that Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center (OASC), a state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Rocky Hill, CT, has been awarded the Advanced Certification for Total Joint Replacement by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This esteemed certification places OASC among only 33 ASCs nationwide and one of just two centers in Connecticut to achieve this distinction. The other is Glastonbury Surgery Center, which Orthopedic Associates of Hartford has ownership in.

The 45,000-square-foot facility opened in January 2019 and is located at 150 Enterprise Drive in Rocky Hill. The facility is free-standing and is not attached to a hospital, is physician-owned, and includes six operating rooms and one procedure room. The operating rooms are over 600 square feet to accommodate the latest technology and robotic systems while providing surgeons with room to comfortably operate.
OASC’s comprehensive care of orthopedic specialties emphasizes total joint replacement, sports medicine, foot, ankle, hand, and wrist surgery, as well as physiatry and pain management.
