Orthopedic Associates of Hartford Opens First Litchfield County Location in Torrington
Brings comprehensive orthopedic care closer to home for patients in Torrington and surrounding communities
HARTFORD, Conn., October 12, 2026 – Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH), one of Connecticut’s largest and most respected orthopedic specialty groups, is pleased to announce the opening of its newest location in Torrington, Connecticut. The new office marks OAH’s first location in Litchfield County, expanding access to orthopedic care for residents of Torrington and surrounding communities.
Located at 1598 East Main Street in Torrington, the new orthopedic office reflects OAH’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to high-quality orthopedic care for patients across Connecticut.

The Torrington office will provide access to experienced orthopedic physicians, including Barrett B. Torre, MD, a fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement specialist, and Robert L. Zondervan, DO, PhD, a fellowship-trained hand and upper-extremity specialist. Both physicians also have additional training in trauma and general orthopedics, giving patients a broad range of expertise to address their orthopedic needs.
Patients will have access to on-site X-ray imaging, casting, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and post-surgical and injury follow-up care at the Torrington office. The office will also provide routine orthopedic care and treatment for workplace-related injuries. Inpatient surgeries will be performed at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington or Hartford Hospital’s Bone & Joint Institute in Hartford. Outpatient procedures will be performed at OAH’s award-winning, state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery centers, ensuring patients receive seamless care from diagnosis through recovery.
